I Updated all the drivers to the latest, tried enable-disable audio controller while headset plugged in, update the driver to Microsoft's default, use Dell SupportAssist and so on but nothing works so far. Many online threads says The Waves Maxxaudio Pro software is need to install on Dell laptops to detect headset which shows the pop-up when connected, but it doesn't work on this one because it is associated with Realtek Audio Controller. This particular model has Cirrus Logic CS8409 Audio Controller, unlike Realtek Audio Controller this controller doesn't have a dedicated Audio Manager software so it's not showing any pop-up window asking what device you plugged in when I plugged the headset. But 3.5mm port is not detecting the headset (TRRS Plug) which works with other laptops and phones, when headphone (TRS Plug) is connected it works fine. So after testing the device past few days, every thing is fine and works. I bought this Dell Inspiron 3501 Laptop couple days ago, it's configurations are i3 1115G4, 4GB ram and 1TB HDD.
